Founded in 1926, Darashaw & Company Pvt. Ltd is amongst the oldest, continuously managed broking and investment-banking houses in India. Darashaw is headquartered in Mumbai, and is spread across twelve cities in India with around 250 professionals. 

Darashaw has the distinction of being the first resource mobilisers and brokers in government securities to be appointed by Reserve Bank of India on the bank’s inception in 1938.

Darashaw has a very niche business model, which caters to a select group of highly specialized institutional clients and corporates. It is therefore imperative that students understand the business of Darashaw to be able to understand the scope of the roles offered to them. 

Hence, as a practice we first deliver a Pre Placement Talk where the Business model and the job roles are explained and discussed at length to give the students a panoptic view of the profile, vis-s-vis sharing the JD directly, which would hold little or no meaning and may confuse them. 

However, for your benefit, following is a brief outline of the roles offered:

Retirement Benefits Sales: Darashaw is a pioneer in the area of Retirement Benefits Sales. Darashaw established the first dedicated desk to service Retirement Funds across the country more than 20 years ago. The firm caters to almost all the major Retirement Funds in the country. Associates would be trained to be Dealers who enable Trusts buy and sell securities in the market, advising them on such transactions, pricing of instruments etc., with the help of the largest and most capable team in the country.

A brief outline of the candidates whom we would like to evaluate:

We would essentially like to look at candidates with 

·         decent academic rigor and a proven academic track record, 

·         advanced communication skills 

·         good data interpretation and analytical ability; interested in pursuing a career in front end fixed income investment banking and retirement benefits  space
